Vettah - a movie that made me look forward for more than one reason - Manju Warrier as a lady cop. This movie was helmed by Rajesh Pillai, who kickstarted the new generation movie trend of malayalam and he can easily be termed as a saviour of malayalam cinema which was then fast reaching the zenith of mediocority and absurdness. Unfortunately Rajesh Pillai passed away on the day 'Vettah' hit the screens. So the movie got overshadowed by his death news and there was no coverage for the movie. 'Vettah' deserves a special mention in malayalam cinema annals.
The love for my kid Buttu is making me learn some new things. I learnt about mass downloading the videos from the Youtube channel when he wanted the videos from Fun2Draw channel and it helped a lot in honing his drawing skills. Now he is crazy about the Sita (played by Madirakshi Mundle) and drawing only Sita all these days. So I wanted to get him the episodes of "Seethaiyin Raman" for his offline viewing. Had they been hosted in Youtube I would have downloaded like a charm, but these days all the Star TV's episodes are hosted in their own video channel called Hotstar. There was no browser plugin to download those videos and after some Google search I came across this script to download the Hotstar videos. Like I care for you all by sharing whatever good things I get, this tutorial is also for you all.
"It's just goes to show that there's never too late to achieve something in life, if you have that attitude in you.." This is what I believe in body building also (It is another story that I am saying this and keep procrastinate work outs) and today I came across these stories that is really inspiring. They are from Bollywood and ofcourse being in films, they have the compulsion to look good but the underlying point is that you can start work outs at any point of your life. There will be limitations regarding the kind of workout you can do taking your age, metabolism rate and muscles into consideration but you can reach your destination if there is a determination. These stories are for all those who think that fitness regime is for late teens & early 20-s only.
Like I had mentioned in my previous blog about right people, I have a wonderful friend who always inspires me in arts. He is Sathiesh and used to come up with abstract paintings and strikingly different artifacts whereas I am stuck with the same Tanjore paintings and Kerala Murals. So I used to look up at him for new artifacts and try them. Recently he shared his work made out of Fevicryl Shilpkar - an air drying art clay. This is his work for his newly constructed house. I will try this material soon and share with you all. Till then please take a look at Sathiesh's work for inspiration.
I don't understand how I missed writing about this actress who was the first EVER girl I had a crush / fascination (other than a sisterly attraction) on her marking my stepping into adoloscent age.. or otherwise that testosterone production had started in my body. I remember distinctly getting attracted to her by repeatedly flipping back to the same page in a Tamil weekly called Vasuki and that's the time I realised that I am getting attracted to the girls even though not exactly on a prurient fashion. During that period whenever I get a new pen, I used to write her name in different styles / typography. But when she died less than a couple of year or so after that realisation I felt little surprised that tears were rolling over my cheeks for the death news of a stranger... strangely. It was the then upcoming Bollywood star Divya Bharti, who died under mysterious circumstances on April 05, 1993.
There goes an adage - Something is better than nothing. But when it comes to be with people I feel that if you don't get right people - "Nothing is better than something negative". If I paraphrase it, then it will read like this - It is better to be alone rather than being with people who are cynical or add no value to my life". Probably this finicky nature had left me with only a handful of friends all over my life. I am not complaining but happy that I am choosing people whose presence I need in my life forever.
When it comes to sex, we Indians are definitely hypocrites, atleast in admitting that we think about sex a lot of time ever since the teens. Everyone's entry into the sexual fantascy itself will be a fascinating story and most of the times those stories go to the grave with the owners. For South Indian people who belonged to 80-s like me, it is still more fascinating because of restricted / almost nil access to quality sex materials. The escapades we done to get those materials even soft core / harmless erotic stuffs can make thousands of interesting stories.
There are some movies that make you laugh, cry and sympathise with the onscreen characters but there are very few movies that make you look yourself in the caharcters. You might even like to do in life certain things the characters had done onscreen. And at the end you might feel good about youselves... Charlie (malayalam 2015) is definitely among such movies. Directed by Martin Parakkat, this movie had Parvathy and Dulqer Salman as lead protagonists supported by Aparna Gopinath, Nedumudi Venu and Shoubin Sahir.
When Orkut was introduced I joined on it very late and by the time I was getting familiar of its features I switched to Facebook in late 2009 and started using it actively from 2010. If you notice my "Monthwise Archives", you could see that I was very actively blogging in 2007/2008/2009.. the blog count was on steady rise because I was using this blog as a platform for expression and I used to receive hundreds of visitors everyday. I easily covered more than a lakh visitors in an year.
