I always believe that we everybody have something intresting to share with and some of us are gifted with the ability to tell it in an intresting manner, so I ask some of my close friends to start blogging. Anybody who looks life & things in a keen / detailed perspective, can become a good blogger and I always cajole those friends to come out and blog. And to much of my hapiness I have few people whom I can say that I was somehow instrumental in making them write down their thoughts. Once they start and when things go well, then their blogs take their own course. When I used to say Vijay that he can blog, he used to scream "Me & Blogging?", now he is maintaining his recipe blogs, ofcourse in the field of his interest. Another person whom I wish should have started much earlier was Ananya. Her emails are a delight to read and she reads so much of blogs that it reflects in her words. I always used to say that she can be a good blogger because of her interesting perspective towards life. It is better late than never and akka started her blogging journey today - Ananya Thinks. Bala Ramanan, my brother-in-law also started blogging when I used to say that his choice of words are amazing. I don't know whether I had any part in his occassional blogging but "Annamalai" was generous in giving me credit by mailing that when I commented on his post on "Chitthirappavai", he got inspired that somebody is reading his posts also, that he started blogging seriously after that incident. I just hope that these people should continue their blogging for years to come. There are few more friends of mine - well read and with beautiful outlook towards life, so I hope to see them on the blogsphere soon. But I have a regret that I couldn't get (Late) Vaithy into blogging because he could have chewed many of the current bloggers if he was into serious blogging. If any of you are new to blogging and wish to share your articles, I encourage you to post in my site, ofcourse with all the credits given to you only.-{oshits} readers

Recently when I wanted to upload the home video of a family function, I had a problem in uploading the same in the web for my friends abroad. My old favourite video host "Google Videos" doesn't accept new videos anymore after it took over YouTube. The very famous 'YouTube' is limitting the length of the videos to maximum of 10 minutes. So splitting the video to 10 minute clips doesn't seem intresting because over the period of time, the viewers might lose intrest. So I searched for some more video hosts, who can meet my criteria - support longer videos, larger file sizes and option of downloading the videos for offline viewing. Finally I zeroed on (i) Yahoo Videos, (ii) Vimeo (iii) Veoh. Among these I am pretty impressed on Vimeo and Veoh and this blog is about Veoh majorly.

A Sorry to all those who downloaded the vEmotion crack from my previous post as that cracked file was an older version of trial software with a recording capability of only 5 minutes. On the comment of Ananya, I tried to record through Audacity, but the voice from the other side of the speaker were hardly audible. So I had no other option than resuming the search for the suitable cracked software again. Atlast from the vast rapidshare library, I stumbled upon on another software called MX Skype Recorder. I initially came across this software but I thought it was for Skype only, so I didn't try. But it is capable of recording the conversations through any VOIP client. This link which I am posting is working fine and I made it sure 100% working before pasting the same only after confirming.

Hai Guys, my search for "logging" the voice chats was not over then but while searcging for the same I came across this intresting piece of news about Gtalk. So thought of sharing with you all.

Google Talk is one of my favourite online messengers. But like other web messengers  it does not allow to use more than one user ID and chat using both user IDs at the same time. You have to use one Gtalk user ID at a time, sign out and then login with another user ID. Since I have two Gtalk user names, I was always looking to get logged in with my two user names at the same time. And finally I found a trick to use multiple Gtalk IDs at the same time. You can open two Gtalk messengers, login with two different IDs and talk at the same time from a single computer. (Courtesy: SolidBlogger)

I love reading the chat transcripts of some of my close friends, reliving the sweet moments again. However when I opt for the voice chat, there is no 'record' or facility to relive those moments. When I googled for that I stumbled upon this piece of software with crack. We can 'record' the gtalk voice chats using the vEmotion. The trial version of this vEmotion limits the recording to 3 minutes only. So I searched the net for alternate options and there are many but all were costing above $30. The intense search for an alternate freeware or a crack resulted in downloading the full version of vEmotion along with the crack itself.... Voila!!! I can now record the sweet conversations of gtalk and preserve them... You also can do the same by following this tutorial.

{mosimage}For those who had used E-Kalappai and Professional version of 'Azhagi', this tutorial will offer nothing new. But for those who love to write in Tamil on the net, chat applications and even in MS Office applications like MS Word, PowerPoint etc.. etc.. whatevere application that can take up texts, this tutorial will be very useful. Infact one such instance, when I discovered 'Azhagi', change my course in blogging. I started writing a lot in Tamil, which happens to be my mother tongue, favourite language and above all my best medium of expression. I am a small town brought up for whom English is just another language, not something I breath, dream and talk in. So whenever I translated my thoughts in English whatever I felt, I always found that something is missing. Thats why 'Azhagi' means a lot to me. With this NHM, my horizons on internet just expands to chat applications and other message boards. If I forget English in an year, that won't be a surprise for me.

Thanks to my website filter in our office, my blog site got blocked. In a way it is good because I am bit obsessed with it but the sad part is that I couldn't update when ever I want to. Normally I write blogs in the nights at home and post it from the office. Now I couldn't post whenever I write something new. I have made a point that I MUST NOT take an internet connection at home because I might end up being wired always and miss reading / writing. Fortunately my CMS system, Joomla has this option of publishing the blogs at a later date. Which means I HAVE TO 'dump' all the blogs in the weekend at some Internet Kiosk setting up different publishing dates.

{mosimage}I was a strong believer of Internet explorer and so much fascinated while upgrading it from v5.0 to v5.5 and to v6.0. Even though I was aware of Netscape, Opera, Safari and other browsers, nothing excited me like MSIE. It was in Abu Dhabi and thanks to failure of opening the Yahoo! mail I got in touch with Firefox Mozilla. For 2-3 days, whenever I tried to access my Yahoo! Mail in MSIE, I was getting this error "999 Error. Please try after sometime". On a casual visit to Vicky's worktable, I found him accessing Yahoo! Mail. He said try with Mozilla Firefox and the moment I did it, I was hooked to Mozilla Firefox. Initially I found its "Plain Jane" appearance lacking glamour, but I fall for its speed and multitabbed browsing.

YouTube.Com is one site that has an extensive collection of videos and documentries. Previously they used to offer downloads of the album, but after the popularity soared high, that facility was stopped. In countries like UAE, US and others, it is fine to see videos online through broadband connection, but right now in India there is a slab for bandwidth transfer. Eg. In home user plan that costs Rs. 500/- per month, the maximum volume permitted is 1 GB / month, which means after 1 GB for every 1 MB, you have to pay Rs. 1.20/-. If your monthly transfer is 1.25 GB, you have to shell out extra money for that 250 MB which is Rs. 300/-. Coming back to video issue, seeing a video once will you cost 9 - 12 MB. If you see the same video again and again, just multiply that by no. of times you see. If download is possible, you transfer to your HDD once and can see 'n' number of times without worrying about online costs. This is a small tutorial on how to download videos from not only YouTube, but also from other video sites like Google, iFilm, PutFile etc..

{mosimage}These are the terms that every net savvy person is familiar with and this small tutorial is for those who are unaware of these facilities. Every time you want to send some important documents like resume or attachments that are in demand like video clippings, you have this problem of uploading it every time. In case in you're out of town when somebody calls and asks for those important files urgently, you'll need them to be in secondary storage like floppy or CD at that moment, involving additional problem of carrying them always. I don't rely on CD or floppy as they can let you down anytime.
