I just knew about RJ Balaji as an RJ and heard more about him during Chennai floods for his philanthropic activities. When we were talking about him in the office, one of my teammate suggested about his movie review for "Kadal" and the way he trolled it. Around the same time I received his Chennai day clip on WhatsApp and was impressed. So I started listening to his reviews from the YouTube clips. I couldn't resist falling for this young man. Whether it is his on the face comments, comedy timings or his Tamil vocabulary or the social awareness that brings out the angst against the society's aberrations... I feel like him mirroring my thoughts completely... almost 100%. It is refreshing to hear someone talking the controversial topics like Porn ban, Corporate appraisal politics, fans rivalry on the prime time air. On seeing him reaching to the lower strata people on humanitarian initiatives, I seriously started liking him immensely. Kudos Balaji.. When I searched for your biography on Wikipedia, I found that your life was so dramatic and I am happy for your success. Thanks for being such a good human being.

Oflate I am writing more on the movie reviews and earlier at one point I had decided that I shouldn't write on movies anymore and slowed down the movies articles. But with the current state of my life where work takes 15-16 hours of my day and I don't have any books with me to read while commuting to office, I had decided to watch movies that are offbeat, something that gives the satisfaction of reading a book. Currently I am exploring the movies by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

Karu.

{mosimage}I have always been saying that Kamal is my favourite Malayalam director and I go to his movies irrespective of the cast and comments, only for his name. Most of the time Kamal didn't disappoint me. I just want to share a small introduction about him to you all. Kamal, whose real name happens to be Kamaludeen, started independently as film maker 19 years ago with "Mizhineer Pookkal", after assisting different schools of cinemas like Bharathan, P.N. Menon, K.S. Sethumadhavan. Their diverse backgrounds helped Kamal in assimiliating the best of the worlds combining creative sensitivity with commercial sensibilities that enables his products dearer to classes as well as masses, aiming for both box office and critical acclaims.

PrithvirajSometimes being just good looking or even talented won't work in films. There is other element called "Luck" along with "diplomatic" behaviours. Prithviraj, son of late veteran actor Sukumaran entered the movies with the critically acclaimed box-office hit "Nandhanam". Even though this took a while to release, Prithvi had become a hottest kid on the block then. He was always the favourite for media. On his debut, he was termed as "hottest hunk" of Kerala, then the same media started pitting him against the established stars.
