{mosimage}It is raining in the yards of AR Rahman's fans... The 'Madras Mozart' had been dishing out chartbustsers at alarming intervals as if they are an assembly line product. The versatility of the scores of period drama "Jodhaa Akbar" to " funky "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" to techno "Ghajini"... the journey this young maestro took last year is incredible. The Golden Globe awards for "Slumdog Millionnaire" came as a diamond in his crown, validating his popularity across the globe. ARR's music for Rakeysh Mehra's "Dilli-6" came in the heels of his Golden Globe awards only to become a smash hit. But this album, Dilli - 6, has the potential to burn the speakers no matter when it was released. I couldn't resist lending my ears tothe songs of "Delhi - 6" every morning, evening and whole day through my iPod. Here is the playlist for those who hadn't heard it still...

I am writing few words about the tracks that swept me off. This doesn't mean that the other songs are not good, but these tracks are something I couldn't keep my hands off. Rehna Tu, Masakkali, Genda phool, Tumhare Bhanvre Mein, Hey Kala Bandhar, Yeh hai Dilli and not the least "Bhor Aaye"

Rehna Tu:- An ultimate love ballad crooned by the Madras Mozart himself, something in the lines of "Dil Se Re..", fantasicing about the lady love. My favourite parts of the track are the liunes "Thodasa Humdum..... Tera sajawat... milawat.. na zyada na hi kum... Mujhe teri bhaarish mein bheeg jaana hai jaana".... the way ARR had sung itself gives a sort of kick to the listeners..

Hey Kaala Bandhar:- It is a spicy dance floor number something in the genre of "Pappu can't dance..", with some nice rap thrown in.... A chartbuster for sure in the coming days..

Masakkali:- This song is purely electric, lively and ebergetic in the vocals of Mohit Chauhan. He oozes exuberence and it clearly shows that everybody associated with the songs have enjoyed the process..

Gendha Phool:-  This song is quite nostalgic taking us to the late 60's,which was the golden era of Indian fim music... Rekha Bharadwaj, Sujatha Majumdar, Mahati and Shradda Pandit recreate the magic of 60s once again

Tumhare Bhanvre mein:- A small Aarti bhajan piece, that  is simply mystic..
