{mosimage}It had been a long time I have been dreaming an IT career. Ever since computers caught my fancy, I wanted to move to computers. Unfortunately I couldn't make it. Call it my indecisiveness / inability to convince my father to put me in computers, there had been a considerable delay. Despite all these I managed to take my move towards an IT career after 10 years since its inception. I came back to India to start my IT career and despite a promising start, I am still at nowhere. It has been days since my certification and it seriously poses problem. It is not the problem now because I waited about 10 years to make this happen and I can wait for even 10 months. But by problem is something else..

Every friend of mine in IT is saying this, "Put some fake experience, else you won't get even an interview call". I find it bit bitter to start my dream career (a career I have been dreaming for years) with a false note. Also I don't have faith in me because I am a poor liar. When I lie, my face just exposes it crystal clear.

When I told my friends about the problem, they said that just by going through your resume the recruiter can make it that was a fake, but they won't mind it. It is really surprising & funny, What is the logic here? Admitted an experience is advantageous but at the end of the day it is the knowledge that matters. Many of my friends who are employed 5-6 months ago still are just checking their mails only in their office. I feel that I have better knowledge than them, but how to prove it to the recruiters. I am not getting an even an interview. Am I fighting a losing battle?
